PRAY YOU DON’T GET WEARY IN WELL-DOING

We’re only a couple of months into the year, yet it feels like momentum has been building quite rapidly as many have sought to build with God. There’s been an acceleration, but in some areas, there has also been a tension of delay.

I woke up one morning earlier this month and heard the Lord say to me, “Pray you don’t grow weary in well-doing.” I don’t believe this was just a word for myself or for the prophetic company I later shared it with. I believe this is a word for many others who have been persevering in faith against all kinds of opposition whilst leading, building, pioneering, and walking in the will of God along what can only be likened to a very narrow road.

I sense that discouragement has crept in for some people, where it’s felt like your ‘doing good’—even over years out of obedience—has started to feel tedious. Your faith has been tested and it’s felt as though your efforts have been in vain because some of you are yet to see any results or even know exactly why you’re dong what you’re doing.

When I heard those words that morning, I knew it came right out of Scripture:

“Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

— Galatians 6:9

God is renewing your strength, but I believe He is inviting many of us to adopt a posture that remains ready.

Ready for a new season.

Ready for new assignments.

Ready for a move of God.

Ready for divine alignments.

Ready for new opportunities.

Ready for new relationships.

Ready for God’s timing.

Ready for new beginnings.

Being surrounded by people with years of wisdom who can speak into my life is a powerful reminder that this journey is a marathon, not a sprint.

Friend, pray that God gives you the grace for longevity in whatever He has called you to and wherever He has called you to go.
